Mint wireless att1/4/2024 ![]() ![]() Got the sim in the mail and called Mint Mobile to get my number ported over. ![]() Was so excited and looking forward to paying 1/4 of the cost on my cell phone bill that I'm paying now with AT&T. I purchased a 3mo package for Mint Mobile on a sale a few months back. Has anyone had a similar experience to this? Mint is unable to transfer my number and has no idea why. If Mint can't transfer my number, I will be forced to write them off and find another carrier that knows how to handle a simple number transfer. I will not take a new phone number - too many real life issues with that. ![]() I've gone back and forth talking to AT&T and Mint and nobody seems to have an answer. I would like to cut my bill by 2/3 but Mint refuses to make this number port-in work. I have always heard good things about Mint but at this point, I am seriously losing faith. They ask for my account information, say there's nothing they can do so they will escalate to the porting specialists, give me a case ID, tell me to wait 24-48 hours for a solution, then - nothing happens. Every time I reach out to Mint's customer support, I am told the same thing. The number has even been transferred in the past. There is no port protection, I have no contract, my phone is unlocked, the number is still active. Mint keeps blaming AT&T and AT&T is simply denying any attempt has even been made to port. Lo and behold, the same issues are plaguing my transfer attempt. Apparently no one could identify WHY the port was failing, so Mint gave up on me and said to get a refund and start over. I was told I may need to start the whole process over again. After multiple support tickets and failed transfers, I finally requested a refund. So, I went back to Mint and tried to get the process going again. I had to get port protection removed by calling AT&T. I used the app to activate the SIM and attempted to transfer my number using my AT&T account number and transfer PIN, but the port wouldn't go through. I bought a plan from the website and received a SIM card in the mail a few days later. I've been trying to port my number from AT&T Wireless to Mint Mobile for the past month. ![]()
